Hollywood gave us the warning we all saw play out on screen:
when fillers go wrong, they don’t just stop working — they start announcing themselves.
You came in to fix tired eye rings but you walked out with eye bags that puffed up every time you smiled.
You came in to soften smile lines but you left with cheeks that felt heavy on your face.
The dark shadow was gone, but everyone could tell something had been done.
That’s not what most patients seeking filler treatment in Singapore actually want.
Most patients at Ozhean Zoey want to look like themselves on a good day — well-rested, glowing, lifted. They want their friends to ask if they’ve been on holiday, not whether they’ve had something done.
This is the era of quiet beauty. Less volume, more quality. Less obvious correction, more confidence.

What Is PEG-HA Filler?
An innovative HA filler designed for natural correction with less puffiness.
PEG-HA filler is a hyaluronic acid filler formulated to integrate softly with surrounding tissue — designed for correction of eye rings, smile lines, and more, in a way that looks and feels like you.
What sets it apart comes down to the crosslinker:
the “glue” that holds the gel together.

Most hyaluronic acid fillers on the market use a chemical called BDDE to bind the gel.
It is widely used and generally effective, but trace amounts can linger in tissue, and a small number of patients have experienced late inflammatory reactions years after treatment.
PEG-HA filler uses polyethylene glycol (PEG) instead. PEG is a well-studied polymer found in injectable medicines and vaccines, with over 111,000 published studies behind it.
As a crosslinker, it produces an HA gel that behaves more predictably within the skin, is compatible with energy-based devices, and is associated with fewer immune-related reactions.
For patients considering filler treatment in Singapore, understanding the formulation difference is a useful starting point — because not all hyaluronic acid fillers are built the same way.
PEG-HA filler is particularly well-suited to areas where swelling is the enemy of a natural result —
the thin-skinned, expressive parts of the face where conventional fillers tend to look puffy or heavy.

Because the swelling is mild and predictable, PEG-HA filler is also a strong choice for patients who do not want any visible social downtime — those who cannot take a week off to wait for puffiness to settle before an event or a return to work.
How Does PEG-HA Filler Work?

Think of it like reinforcing a sagging cushion rather than replacing the whole sofa. The original facial structure is still yours.
PEG-HA filler simply restores the support layer underneath.
Because PEG-HA gel is heat-resistant, it remains stable even when combined with treatments that generate heat — including HIFU, radiofrequency, infrared, and lasers.
This matters for patients who want a layered, multi-modal approach rather than a single standalone treatment, as it can be incorporated into a broader aesthetic plan without interfering with other modalities.

What Are The Benefits of PEG-HA Filler?

No granulomas. No foreign body reactions. PEG appears to actively calm local inflammation rather than just avoid causing it.

PEG-HA Filler vs Other Fillers
| PEG-HA Filler | BDDE-HA Filler | Collagen Filler | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base Material | Hyaluronic acid | Hyaluronic acid | Porcine-derived collagen |
| Post-treatment Swelling | Mild & predictable | Often pronounced | Minimal |
| Longevity | Up to 9 months | 6–12 months | Fades after ~3 months |
| Late Inflammatory Risk | Very low | Higher | Low |
| Heat Resistance | Stable with HIFU, RF, lasers | Less stable under heat | Not designed for combined EBD use |
| Under-eye Suitability | Very good | Risk of puffiness & Tyndall effect | Very good (short-term) |
| Ideal For | Quiet beauty & longer-lasting natural correction | Volume restoration in deeper zones | Patients prioritising regenerative collagen support |
Natural Results,
Without the Puffiness
PEG-HA filler combines the minimal swelling of collagen fillers with the longevity of HA fillers — without the puffiness drawbacks of conventional BDDE-HA. It's the most "quiet beauty"-aligned option of the three.

Visible filling and smoothing immediately after the session. Because PEG-HA filler swells less than conventional fillers, your day-one result is close to your final result. Subtle continued improvement over the first 2–4 weeks as the gel settles.
Up to 9 months for most patients in our experience. Longevity depends on the area treated, your metabolism, lifestyle and how mobile the area is.
A single-area treatment takes about 30 minutes including consultation, marking and numbing. Multi-area sessions can take up to an hour.
Most patients return every 8–10 months to maintain results. We don’t recommend stacking filler more frequently — accumulation is one of the things that causes the overfilled look.
Discomfort is mild. We apply topical numbing cream first, and the filler itself contains a small amount of local anaesthetic. Most patients describe it as a brief pinch.
Mild redness, slight swelling and occasional bruising at the injection site, typically resolving within a few days — these are normal post-injection responses, not complications. Genuine complications are rare in skilled hands. PEG-HA filler in particular has shown a low rate of late inflammatory reactions in published studies.
Most patients return to work and normal social activities the same day or the next morning. We advise avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, saunas and direct sun for 24–48 hours.
Yes — and we often recommend it. PEG-HA filler is heat-resistant, so it pairs well with Ultherapy Prime, RF, infrared and laser treatments. It also combines well with skin boosters and neurotoxin.
PEG-HA filler is priced from $1200 on a per-syringe basis. Final cost depends on the number of syringes required. We provide a clear, itemised quote at consultation — no surprises.
