LucenceINSIGHT™ is developed by Lucence Diagnostics, a Singapore-headquartered biotech company. Lucence Diagnostics is licensed by the Ministry of Health, Singapore. The test analyses circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) — fragments of genetic material that cancer cells release into the bloodstream — using next-generation sequencing technology. Results are interpreted with machine learning to identify the presence or absence of a cancer signal.

A single venous blood draw of approximately 18mL. No fasting is required. The appointment takes about 15 minutes.
Your sample is processed at Lucence Diagnostics' MOH-licensed laboratory using next-generation sequencing.
Within 12 to 18 working days, your physician reviews the results with you and discusses next steps if needed.

Yes. Lucence Diagnostics Pte. Ltd. is licensed by the Ministry of Health, Singapore. The test is conducted at MOH-licensed clinics, with sample analysis performed at the licensed laboratory.
Per the manufacturer's clinical validation data, LucenceINSIGHT™ has a sensitivity of 80.9% (the rate at which it correctly identifies cancer when present) and specificity of 99.2% (the rate at which it correctly rules out cancer when not present). Validation data has been presented at ASCO 2023 and ESMO Asia 2023.
No fasting is required. We recommend avoiding heavy meals at least four hours before your blood draw.
Results are typically available 12 to 18 working days after the blood draw. Your physician will contact you to schedule a results consultation when the report is available.
No. LucenceINSIGHT™ is designed to complement existing screening such as mammography, colonoscopy and cervical cytology — not replace them. Continue with your routine screening as advised by your physician.
The test is generally recommended for adults aged 40 and above without a personal history of cancer in the past three years, particularly those with elevated risk factors such as family history or lifestyle factors. The test is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant or who have a personal history of cancer within the past three years. Your physician will determine suitability during your pre-screening consultation.
